Terms of Service

v1 · last updated 25 April 2026

These terms govern your use of ctrl.detail. They form a binding contract between you and Ctrl Alt Elite Studio Ltd. ctrl.detail is currently in pre-launch (launching spring 2026); this is the v1 of the terms and will be reviewed before paid customers onboard.

01

About us and these terms

ctrl.detail is a trading name of Ctrl Alt Elite Studio Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), company number 17140083, registered office 33 Birch Grove, Cwmbran NP44 6EP. You can reach us at contact@ctrl-alt-elite.uk.

By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

02

The service

ctrl.detail is a SaaS for solo mobile detailers in the UK. It provides a bookable web page, a calendar, a customer database, and card-payment collection. Specific features change over time as we ship the product.

During pre-launch some features are unavailable or may change without notice. We'll tell you before any change that materially reduces what your active plan provides.

03

Your account

You're responsible for the details you provide, for keeping your sign-in credentials safe, and for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you suspect your account has been accessed by someone else.

Accounts are for one business. You may add an extra operator login on the Growth plan; otherwise sharing logins between people isn't permitted.

04

Plans and pricing

Subscription tiers (UK pricing, ex VAT where applicable):

  • Starter - £0/month. Up to 20 bookings per month, ctrl.detail branding on your booking page, card fees 3.4% + 20p per transaction, no platform fee.
  • Pro - £49/month. Unlimited bookings, your own branding, card fees 2.4% + 20p, plus a 1% platform fee on bookings collected through the platform.
  • Growth - £99/month. Everything in Pro, plus a second operator login, route optimisation, membership plans. Card fees 2.4% + 20p, platform fee 0.5%.

Card fees are passed through from Stripe. Platform fees are how the product sustains itself. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice for active subscribers.

05

Payment

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. The plan starts on the day you subscribe and renews on the same day each month until you cancel. Card transactions and platform fees are taken at the time the payment is processed.

If a payment fails we'll retry, ask you to update your card, and may suspend the account until the bill clears. Persistent non-payment means the account closes.

06

Right to cancel and refunds

You can cancel any time from your account or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then. We don't pro-rate refunds for partial months.

Where you're a consumer (not a business) under UK law, you have a 14-day right to cancel from sign-up. If you ask us to start the service inside that 14-day window and then cancel, you'll owe a fair amount for what you used.

Card processing fees and any platform fees that have already been paid out to you are non-refundable.

07

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for anything illegal.
  • Take payments from people who haven't agreed to be charged, or use the service to defraud anyone.
  • Send unsolicited marketing or spam through the platform's messaging features.
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, scrape or resell the service or its data.
  • Disrupt the service or other users (DoS, brute-force, bypassing rate limits, exploiting bugs without disclosing them to us).
  • Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes anyone else's rights.

We can suspend or close accounts that breach this. We'll warn you first where we reasonably can.

08

Your customers' data

When you put your customers' details into ctrl.detail you remain the controller of that data; we process it on your instructions through the product. Our processor obligations (security, subprocessors, breach notification, your audit rights) are set out in our Data Processing Addendum, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. A signed standalone DPA is available on request to contact@ctrl-alt-elite.uk.

You confirm you have a lawful basis to collect and pass that data through ctrl.detail, and that you have given the people concerned the privacy information they need.

09

Intellectual property

The ctrl.detail software, brand, design and content are owned by Ctrl Alt Elite Studio Ltd. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your business while your subscription is current.

Your business content (logo, photos, copy, customer data) stays yours. You grant us the licence we need to host, process and display it as part of running the service for you.

10

Service availability

We aim to keep ctrl.detail available 24/7 but can't guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where it's likely to be noticed. Unplanned outages, third-party failures (Stripe, Supabase, Vercel) and force-majeure events do happen; we'll work to restore service as fast as we can.

11

Disclaimers and liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by UK law.

Otherwise, the service is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law we exclude all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for purpose and non-infringement.

We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost business, lost data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with these terms is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or £100, whichever is higher.

12

Suspension and termination

We can suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, if we're required to by law, or if continuing to provide the service would expose us or other users to serious risk. On termination we'll let you export your data for at least 30 days unless we're prevented from doing so by law.

You can close your account at any time from settings.

13

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be notified to active subscribers by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after the effective date counts as accepting the new terms; if you don't accept, you can cancel.

14

Pre-launch notice

ctrl.detail is in pre-launch. The service may have rough edges, may change without warning, and shouldn't be relied on as your sole system of record yet. Where you spot something broken, tell us at contact@ctrl-alt-elite.uk.

15

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that we may bring proceedings in any jurisdiction where you're based.
