Cookie Policy

v1 · last updated 25 April 2026

A short and honest list of what ctrl.detail puts in your browser, why, and how you can control it. This is the v1 - we'll update it as we add features that touch cookies.

01

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. We also use localStorage, which is similar - a small piece of data tied to your browser. We refer to both as "cookies" below for simplicity.

02

What we set today

  • Authentication session (essential). When you sign in, Supabase sets cookies that keep you signed in across pages. Without them you can't use the portal. These are first-party, HTTP-only, and set only after you sign in.
  • Cookie consent preference (essential). Your accept/decline choice on the consent banner is stored in localStorage so we don't ask you again on every visit.

That's it. We don't currently run analytics, tracking, marketing, or advertising cookies on this site.

03

Things we don't run yet

For transparency: a previous build of this codebase shipped Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Vercel Analytics, and a first-party analytics beacon. None of those are wired up on ctrl.detail right now. If we ever turn them on, this policy and the consent banner will update first.

04

Third-party cookies

None at the moment. When we wire Stripe Checkout for paid plans, Stripe will set cookies on its own checkout pages (checkout.stripe.com); those are governed by Stripe's own policy and are required for fraud prevention.

05

Managing cookies

Your browser lets you block or clear cookies. Doing so for the essential ones above will sign you out of the portal but won't affect the marketing site.

You can also clear your consent choice by clearing localStorage for this site - the consent banner will reappear on your next visit.

06

Updates to this policy

We'll revise this policy whenever we add or remove a cookie. The version and date at the top of the page reflects the current revision.
